Steidl Zlatarstvo in srebrokovaštvo
The last heir of silvesmithing
Christoph Steidl Porenta is a master goldsmith, a precious metal restorer and Slovenia's only master silversmith. His products include handmade rings, necklaces, brooches, earrings, goblets, swords, cutlery, liturgical objects, and sculptures. He learned goldsmithing and silversmithing techniques at a Benedictine abbey in Würzburg, Germany. NEXT
Imagination that never rests.
Every piece that Christoph imagined is hand-made. Products are made to order or are the fruit of his imagination, which never stands still. Jewellery empowers the one who wears it.
"Anyone who takes up the challenge of following the call to light is a hero," says Christoph, who believes that in essence every human being follows the light. Gold, silver, platinum and precious stones that refine and mirror the jewelry are a reminder of this commitment. NEXT

Every piece is its own story
Christoph draws his endless inspiration for creating jewelry from nature, which is an open book of fables and myths. He mirrors nature’s amazing simplicity in jewelry with noble materials, illustrating the stories that bubble up. NEXT
Silversmithing is like mediation.
The right rhythm of ten thousand hammer blows… If you miss a beat, you miss the shape. It requires days upon days of concentration to make a chalice, a statue of a mythological being, or an ornamental tree branch, from a raw piece of metal. “The brightest moment in the creation process is the point where we accept the challenge. The ups and downs are only the interim stations on our travels.” says Christoph. NEXT
